Member Service Representative

Healthworks Fitness Center is seeking a full-time Member Service Representative to work in our Corporate Office. As Boston’s premier group of women-only fitness centers, Healthworks has five locations: Back Bay/Copley Square, Brookline, Cambridge/Porter Square, Chestnut Hill and Salem, MA. Healthworks offers a state of the art personal training program, over 100 group exercise classes weekly per location, specialty training classes, an abundance of strength training and cardiovascular equipment, and an impressive array of services and amenities. Healthworks currently serves nearly 18,000 members.

Responsibilities:
The main focus of this position is to provide our members with exceptional customer service via phone and email. This position is responsible for receiving member calls and handling customer concerns. Other responsibilities include data entry and administrative duties.
Ideal candidate must have outstanding customer service skills, both written and verbal, and be committed to providing a superior member service. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are a must.

Applicant must have 1+ years customer service experience, as well as be energetic, motivated and able to display professionalism. Non-smokers with a passion for the health club industry strongly preferred. Additional skills needed in this position include: ability to learn quickly, multitasking and strong computer skills.

Fitness Director

As a Fitness Director, you are the representation of Healthworks to the membership and staff. You will be responsible for fitness programming and the personal training program while achieving or exceeding club goals. In addition, the Fitness Director is also responsible for global programming for the fitness specialist and personal trainers.

Candidates must have a degree in Exercise Science or significant relevant education/experience, current national certification, management experience, a proven ability to build relationships, excellent communication, time management, organizational and follow-up skills, computer literacy, service orientation and positive attitude. The Front Desk Team Member (FDTM) plays a key role in the overall success of the company by providing legendary service to all Healthworks members and guests.

Job Description/Requirements:

Education/Certifications:
High School Equivalent or Higher
Current CPR/AED certification. FDTM is responsible for maintaining current certification throughout employment

Experience:
Experience with delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
Extensive history of conflict resolution, active listening and both written/ verbal communication skills
Computer-savvy and proficient at programs such as Word & Excel

Knowledge:
Learns and remains updated on Healthworks systems (eClub, Bookings Plus, membership sales procedures, etc.)
Possesses fundamental knowledge of Healthworks programs, membership, and services or is able to access this information quickly
Understands the mission and values of Healthworks

Ability:
Available to work hours that meet the general needs of the clubs
Able to multi-task, follow-up and remain resilient in a fast-paced environment; this includes consistently performing the tasks and special projects outlined on the shift check-list in a timely manner
Able to interact in a personable, professional and prompt manner; this includes placing a high priority on greeting any member that approaches the front desk
Able to approach challenges in a creative, positive and team-centered manner

Membership Sales Advisor

As a Sales Advisor, you are the representation of Healthworks to the community and will be responsible for selling club memberships while achieving or exceeding individual and club-wide sales goals. In addition, Sales Advisors are responsible for creating and executing outreach activities in the local area. This includes partnerships with local businesses, attending special events and participating in community activities. You must participate in all club services, programs and products and continually build relationships with members.

Candidates must have previous sales experience, a proven ability to build relationships, excellent communication, time management, organizational and follow-up skills, computer literacy, service orientation, interest in fitness and health, enthusiasm, and positive attitude. You must be willing to work some weekends, evenings and holidays.
