Tell me more about the 10-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We are confident you will love our club, so we offer a 10-day money-back guarantee. Visit https://healthworksfitness.com/membership-request/ within 10 days of joining and we will refund any dues or fees you have paid and cancel your membership immediately. After 10 days, standard cancelation policies apply.
When am I billed for my membership?
Memberships are billed bi-weekly. The first payment is typically due two weeks after your start date and bi-weekly thereafter. From time to time, we run special promotions which delays this first payment date.
Are there other fees?
Our physical memberships have a $69.99 annual facilities enhancement fee. This fee is billed three weeks after you join and annually on that date.
What is the process for canceling the membership?
We hope you are a member for years and years to come but we also understand that sometimes things change. We aim to make canceling your membership as easy as joining and have a fully online process. Please see our Online Membership Request Center for details.
Are there any fees to cancel my membership?
Can I freeze my membership and what is the process?
We allow members to freeze your membership for a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 6 months per calendar year for personal reasons at $6/bi-weekly.
Do you increase membership rates?
To allow us to pay our staff fairly and keep up with all our expenses, we typically increase our membership dues annually. If you are on a commit membership, your increase will take place after your commitment ends. All other members will be increased at the same time. We will send out an email about 4 weeks before our annual increase to your email address on file unless you have opted out of our emails.
Can you apply my corporate discount?
Healthworks has partnerships with over 200 businesses and organizations in the area where we provide discounts to our multi-club membership. If you would like to take advantage of this, please visit our corporate partner online joining page and join using your work email address.
Please note, we reserve the right to increase dues to standard pricing for anyone who joins with a corporate partnership membership without an email address matching the registered partnership. If you would like to see our standard rates, please visit our standard rates joining page.
If I choose the Commit Option, what happens after 12 months?
If you enrolled with a Commit membership your membership adjusts to our Flex membership option after your 26th (bi-weekly) dues payment. You will continue to be billed automatically, no need to manually renew.
If I choose Digital+, how does club access work?
With your Digital+ membership, you may check into any of our Healthworks, or Republic Fitness locations and we will auto-bill you $20/visit using your card on file. This is a great option for someone who is only physically near our clubs 1-2 times a month.
Healthworks Locker Room & Privacy FAQ
We are committed to a respectful, women‑centered space.
Healthworks exists to support women and non‑binary people in an environment that prioritizes strength, wellbeing, and mutual respect. We also operate in Massachusetts and are committed to complying fully with state law. The questions below are intended to clarify how we balance these responsibilities.
Who is allowed to use the Healthworks locker rooms?
In accordance with Massachusetts nondiscrimination law, members may use locker rooms consistent with their gender identity.
Healthworks does not determine or evaluate a member’s gender identity based on appearance or presentation, and staff do not request documentation or explanations from members.
Is Healthworks still a women‑centered space?
Yes. Healthworks remains a women‑centered fitness community created to support women and non‑binary people in focusing on their physical and inner strength.
Our women‑centered mission reflects how we design our programs, culture, and community. At the same time, we are required to follow state law regarding access to public accommodations, including locker rooms.
Why doesn’t Healthworks assess how someone “presents” before allowing locker room access?
Massachusetts law does not allow businesses to assess or judge a person’s gender identity based on physical appearance or presentation.
For that reason, Healthworks staff are not permitted to question, challenge, or remove a member from a locker room based on how someone looks.
What about privacy and comfort in the locker room?
We recognize that locker rooms are deeply personal spaces, and that comfort levels vary.
All members are expected to follow Healthworks’ locker room conduct standards, which include respect for privacy, personal space, and community norms. Any behavior that is inappropriate, intimidating, or violates our policies is addressed based on conduct, regardless of identity.
For members who prefer additional privacy, private changing or shower options are available where possible and may be used voluntarily.
What behaviors are not permitted in the locker room?
Regardless of gender identity, the following are not permitted:
- Harassment or intimidation
- Staring or behavior that makes others uncomfortable
- Photography, video, or recording of any kind
- Violation of posted locker room or spa rules
- Concerns are addressed based on behavior, not identity.
What should I do if I feel uncomfortable or have a concern?
We encourage members to speak with a manager if they have a concern so it can be addressed respectfully and in accordance with our policies.
Our team is trained to listen, support members, and respond appropriately while upholding our values and legal obligations.
Who can I contact with questions?
If you have questions or would like to discuss a concern further, please speak with a club manager or reach out to our team directly. We value your membership and your trust.
