Many health insurance companies offer rebates for their members towards health club memberships. To request receipts and contracts for insurance rebates, log into the member portal.
Step 1: Log into the member portal.
Step 2: Go to My Account.
Step 3: See the left side navigation for Payment History.
If you need a copy of your contract:
Step 1: go to My agreement Information on the left side navigation
Step 2: Click on Documents
Step 3: “Previous Motionsoft Document” is a copy of your contact from our old system.
BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD
Your Fitness Benefit could save your family up to $300 per year in health club membership dues or exercise class fees. You can claim your $50 – $300 Fitness Benefit once you’ve belonged to a health club and have been a BCBSMA member for at least four months (in a calendar year) if your company has added this benefit to your plan. Just complete at least four consecutive months of membership in Tufts Health Plan and at a qualified fitness center. Submit the Fitness Rebate Form, along with proof of fitness center membership and proof of payment, and Tufts Health Plan will reimburse up to $150 of your fitness club fees for the year. EXERCISE RX TAX DEDUCTION
Are you working out because your doctor prescribed exercise for a specific health issue? If so, you will be happy to know that your physician-prescribed exercise program can now be considered a tax-deductible “qualified medical expense” by the IRS. Please ask a club manager for more details.
