When we think Summer, we usually think go, go, go. Where am I going to travel, where can I go for the next cool event in town, where should I take the family for some fun? As much as we think go, go, go – we should be thinking relax, relax, relax.

We’ve spent the cold, winter months working on our fitness goals, pushing ourselves to new heights, and now that we’ve made it to the summer months – don’t we deserve some downtime? Some time to chill out and enjoy what we’ve accomplished?

While some of us may continue to push hard throughout the summer months, let’s remember that summer should also be a time where we take care of ourselves and enjoy the little things with the people we care about most. 5) Spend The Day At Home

I get it, it’s summer and you want to go out and enjoy the beautiful weather in this beautiful city of ours; but why not just enjoy a day at home? Curl up with your favorite book on a towel on the lawn; sit out on the deck with some good food and drinks; turn on some music or your favorite tv show; or give yourself a mani/pedi and facial. It doesn’t have to be an all-day affair, but some time alone or with loved ones can be just as relaxing as going out to an event.
